How Disgusting is our Popular Culture?

I just had the misfortune of being subjected to a positively revolting Bowflex commercial in which a 45-year-old man brags of "packing 12 pounds of muscle onto my frame" and explains that he needs to be in good shape if he wants to be "slammin' it with 20-year-olds" in beach volleyball. He then adds, as the camera shows him walking along the beach with two adoring, nubile bikini-clad girls, that "there are great advantages to having a Bowflex body." Get it? He's sleeping with them! Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.

First, who says "slammin'"? Second, why is this man shaving his body? Third, who wrote this idiotic crap??
